History

Ege University Continuing Education Center -EGESEM- was established in accordance with the decision of the Ege University Senate dated 08.05.2001 and numbered 10/6 and the subparagraph 2 of the subparagraph (d) of the 7th article as amended by the Law No. 2547 and the Law No. 2880 and approved by the Council of Higher Education and became operational with the publication of the regulation regulating the operation and work of the Center in the Official Gazette dated 08.10.2001 and numbered 24576.

EGESEM, which is an education center established to organize continuous education programs in all areas where Ege University conducts education, training and research, and to contribute to the development of the University's cooperation with the public and private sectors and national and international organizations; It prepares training programs for individuals and organizations in the fields they need, proposes subject-specific package programs, organizes courses, seminars, conferences, training programs at national and international levels, and provides trainers, materials, tools and equipment related to the infrastructure works of such activities and provides coordination.

 EGESEM, which acts from the concept of lifelong learning and the brand value of Ege University; Ege University aims to meet with university students, public and private sector organizations and participants of all ages who believe in the importance of personal development through original and quality education programs by benefiting from the experience and expertise of academicians from Ege University. In this context, by fulfilling the requirement of social responsibility, it contributes to the creation of a better quality of life and social environment for all segments of society and to the development of the provincial and national economy.
